Conservation goes hand in hand with organic farming, and in a dry area such as California, water conservation is always a concern.
Our grapes need water, so to be resposible in our water management we collect runoff into holding ponds that --in conjunction with underground wells -- supply our irrigation pumps.
Metering the proper amount of water, rather than wastefully spraying everything and everywhere, is accomplished through drip irrigation.

Water is pumped along each row in the vineyards and small holes provide a slow and steady flow that keeps the ground around each plant properly moistened.
Water use is kept to a minimum, but the grapes get all they need.
